Who doesn't like donuts? Crazy people, that's who. I love donuts - chocolate, glazed, sprinkled, fruity. There are very few donuts I've met on this planet that I have not liked. My favorite? Maple old fashioned - which surprisingly isn't found in many places. I grew up with them, and then had a rude awakening when I discovered they are nearly impossible to find outside of California.
Anywho, Jacob also enjoys donuts, so we were going to get tickets to go to a donut festival in Milwaukee. Sadly, it sold out before we could get our tix. So we figured - why not create our own DonutFest?
Originally, we were going to get a bunch of donuts and have other folks join us for a tasting session. We would vote for our favorites and declare a winner. However, people are lame and didn't want to join in the fun, so we decided we'd be better off doing a donut tour (so we wouldn't need to eat twenty donuts in one sitting). And thus, DonutFest was born.
It's taken us to lots of bakeries and donut shops, and we have eaten many delightful creations. Enjoy our gallery of deliciousness.
