Feeling Fine in Trondheim - Nov 2022

I had a chance to check out the scene in Trondheim for a go live in November of 2022. After spending a week supporting med rec workflows at the hospital, Jacob and I spent a relaxing weekend exploring the town.

Friday night, we found a delightful cocktail bar, where the specialty was a lovely sea buckthorn-infused concoction. Later, we headed down the road to a lively Mexican place - the enchiladas were surprisingly good for Scandinavia!

We were ready for a more adventurous exploration the next day. Breakfast was served at a cute bakery, where a pair of nutcrackers watched us nosh on some delicious pastries. We walked all around town - by the water, through the shopping district, then across the bridge to old town. At this point, we had gotten sufficient fresh air, and were a bit cold, so we tracked down a wine bar. We managed to stop by as they were busy moving a small piano into the bar for a party happening later in the evening - quite a fiasco! The bar was lovely - fine wine, smooth jazz, great people watching. We concluded the day with a nice dinner at a wood-filled restaurant.

Our final day in Trondheim was similarly stroll-filled - this time making it up to a fort on top of a hill. Again, the cold eventually wore me down and we found ourselves back at the wine bar in old town - timed just right to watch them move the piano back out of the bar!

From sjakknatt to dog border control, from fish at breakfast to robots serving dinner, from Beach Boys on the P.A. to pianos in the street, our time in Trondheim was very memorable!
