I had the honor of being invited along on the 2017 Robinson boys trip - a trip to Boston with Jacob, his dad, and his two brothers. I was fully aware it was going to be an adventure going into it, and the trip sure didn't disappoint.

The crew convened at the airport, with John, a.k.a. Jombo, being the last to arrive. It's worth noting that the nickname Jombo was not used before and has not been used since that particular trip.
Our first day, we followed bits of the freedom trail, took in the history of the place, and even managed to walk through a park while a band was playing our theme song for the weekend: "The Impression That I Get" by the Mighty, Mighty Bosstones. Geez, those boys were knocking on wood all weekend long, even though they "never had to"?
The day ended with a trip to historic Fenway Park, where the Sox were taking on the Yankees. We all agreed that the ballpark was cool, but we think Wrigley is a bit cooler. We were treated to a marathon (not unusual for me and Jacob), and after 15 innings, I decided to call it and head back to the hotel. The boys got in some more bonding time while I got my beauty sleep for the next day.
The following day was beautiful. We wandered down to the harbor, saw more of the sights, and found a delicious bakery. Overall, a very successful tour of the city, even though it was exceedingly difficult to keep track of everybody. I think half the trip was spent either looking for one of the boys who wandered off or looking for a public bathroom. 😆
