Watch Out - Switzerland, Aug 2019

What better excuse to spend some time in beautiful Switzerland than adding vacation time to a work trip? This is just what we did - we met a few friends in Zurich for a weekend getaway before switching over to Lucerne for a couple days. And it was gorgeous.

As luck would have it, we somehow managed to book our weekend there at the same time as the largest rave in Europe - not our cup of tea, but very entertaining to watch. We wound our way through the picturesque streets, stopping at cafes along the way. Fun fact: the water is so clean in Switzerland that you can drink the water from public fountains!

Zurich was quite fancy, so Jacob and I quickly came to an agreement: if he bought a watch, I could spend the same amount of money spent on the watch on chocolate. Alas, neither came to pass.

Lucerne was the second stop, after a beautiful train ride through the Swiss countryside. My personal favorite, Lucerne was adorable. We walked across its historic bridge, enjoyed a delicious cupcake, and went on a beautiful boat cruise. It was an absolutely lovely day.
